Calico Pillowcase (Pair)

Calico is a utilitarian material that has been used since the 11th century. It has a natural, unbleached finish, with some small flecks of the husk in places as the cotton is not fully processed. The colour is a natural warm off-white.

These are sewn with french seams (no exposed overlocking). They have deep flaps to avoid your pillow inner being exposed.

Designed to fit a standard pillow (inner is not included). 

Pillowcase size: 76cm x 50cm, 26cm deep internal flap.

There are care labels sewn into the inside of the pillowcases. Here are our suggestions for washing your pillowcases:

Wash separately on a gentle cycle with a lower spin speed. Use cold water to wash them (or 30-40 degrees if you need to). Use a gentle eco-friendly laundry liquid, nothing with harsh bleaching ingredients. Ideally dry it in the shade and iron from the inside out (but these look lovely crinkly and un-ironed too!). It is best to avoid using a dryer generally as they really wear fabrics out so fast. Never soak these duvet covers if you want to retain the lovely warm off-white colour. Avoid storing in sunlight.
