Mud Cotton Globe Cushion SAMPLE
This is a sample we made using leftover fabric from a past range. We made this up for this sale using a perfect up-to-date pattern. The fabric was hand dyed by NZ's last commercial fabric dyer who has since retired. Because it was hand dyed in small batches, there are some imperfections. I have photographed (in the red circle) a dot from the dye process on one of the ends. It was also made using an invisible zip that is a darker shade of brown than we used to use with this fabric. But you only see the zip end anyway – please refer to images.
This comes with the standard size globe cushion inner, so in the future you can always order a different cover, which we sell online here for it if you want to.
Please choose carefully, as all sample sale items are final and cannot be returned, exchanged, or cancelled. For full details, please see our returns page. If you have any questions about an item, please get in touch by email before placing your order hello@klay.co.nz
One of Kirsty’s most distinctive designs, Globe Cushion marries fun with function. This artful object is inherently comforting, calling to mind childhood and asking to be cradled. Surprisingly heavy, it resembles an old-fashioned medicine ball and feels dense and reassuring. An engaging addition as a practical head and body prop to couches, bed and daybeds, the globe cushion is one of Klay’s signature items.
It has a removable cover. Comes with the handmade insert, which is made from cotton calico and layers of 100% recycled materials, a blend that is 80% wool, 20% other materials such as polyester & cotton. You can read more about our cushions here!
Size: 30cm high, 28cm side height, 94cm circumference. Weight: approx 1 kilogram. Made in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
