These sawhorse brackets are designed as a lighter alternative to standard heavy-duty styles, which typically use 2 × 4 timber. While traditional brackets are built for more demanding work, this design is intended for lighter applications such as home projects, temporary work surfaces, or retail displays.

By using 2 × 2 timber, the overall weight is reduced and the finished piece has a more refined, minimal appearance. This makes the brackets easy to handle and suitable for more casual, flexible use.

Please note these brackets are manufactured in Japan and are designed to suit standard Japanese timber sizing, where 2 × 2 (approximately 38 mm square) is commonly available. Timber sizing varies between countries, so we recommend checking your local hardware store before purchasing to ensure a suitable fit.

For reference, in New Zealand the closest readily available size we found is 32 × 40 mm. While not an exact match, it works well and is what we plan to use when making our own sawhorse.

Sold as a set of 2 brackets per box. For example, building a table base will require 2 boxes (4 brackets in total).

Care: Over time, screws securing the timber may loosen with use. If this occurs, re-tighten them or replace with slightly longer screws to maintain stability. Made in Japan from steel.
