A large, supportive floor cushion inspired by traditional Japanese floor cushions. Designed for sitting on the floor, it provides a firm, comfortable base for meals, reading, playing or spending time together. They are especially useful in homes with young children, where sitting on the floor is often part of everyday life. Although made with floor sitting in mind, the cushion also works well on a bed, bench or couch.

Each cushion comes with our handmade insert, made from hand-trussed cotton calico and filled with layers of 100% virgin New Zealand wool and recycled wool wadding. We make all of our cushions ourselves with a small team in New Zealand. You can read more about how we make our cushions here.

The Tarp Green is locally dyed in New Zealand using a hands-on process that gives the fabric its rich, earthy colour and worn-in, vintage feel. This also means there are some imperfections, including larger light dye streaks and variations in colour. Please zoom in on the photos to see the variation. If you prefer a more uniform fabric, please do not purchase this colour.

The Natural Canvas is pre-washed and may have some crease marks from the washing process.
