Hariko is traditional folk craft in Japan. Furukawa-san was inspired to start papier-mache making from when he used to tour all over Japan during his days playing the banjo. Furukawa-san makes these from his studio in Kyoto in his old family shop. If you would like to know more about the process of making these, please checkout this blog post Hariko Handmade by Furukawa-san.

Please note because these are all handmade they have imperfections. This is part of their beauty!

We do not accept returns/ exchanges on these because they are one-offs. Please choose carefully.
