Hariko Kitsune (Little Fox)

Made from at least five layers of paper that is moulded on wooden blocks, then hand painted. These are unique. There is a bell inside the fox. It is a decorative handicraft item, for your shelf or display. 

Sold individually. Size: 7.5cm tall, 6cm wide, 7cm deep.

Hariko is traditional folk craft in Japan. Furukawa-san was inspired to start papier-mache making from when he used to tour all over Japan during his days playing the banjo. Furukawa-san makes these from his studio in Kyoto in his old family Chinese Medicine shop. Please note because these are all handmade they will have imperfections. This is part of their beauty! The one you get might have slight variations the one in the photo.
